Absentee Ballots for Town Election
The 2010 Town Election will coincide with the Jewish holiday Passover. Residents celebrating this holiday have the option of filing for and filling out an absentee ballot. In accordance with the Elections Division of the State of Massachusetts, absentee ballots may be obtained for the following reasons:

* if you will be absent from your city or town on election day and/or;
* have a physical disability that prevents voting at the polling place and/or;
* cannot vote at the polls due to religious beliefs

We encourage residents who will be celebrating this holiday to fill out an absentee ballot application, which is also available at the Town Clerk's office. The last day to complete and submit the application is Monday, March 29th at 12:00 PM.

Annual Town Election and Town Meeting
The 2010 Annual Town Election takes place on March 30th, 2010. Poles will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Precinct 1 votes at the Nagog Wood Clubhouse. Precincts 2 and 6 vote at the Conant School on Taylor Rd. Precincts 3, 4 and 5 vote at the Blanchard Auditorium at the RJ Grey Junior High School. To find out what precinct you are in, you may contact the Town Clerk at 978-264-9615 or you can find "My Election Information" on the state website.

The 2010 Annual Town Meeting begins Monday, April 5th at 7:00 PM at the Acton Boxborough Regional High School Auditorium.

Town of Acton Flu Clinics
There are no additional scheduled clinics for H1N1 and seasonal flu. However, there are plenty of vaccines available. Please call the Acton Public Health Nursing Service at 978-264-9653 to make an appointment. Remember that the flu season in the Northeast continues through the end of March, so it is not too late to get vaccinated.
