Annual Town Election

The Annual Town Election will take place on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014. A list of available Board and Committee positions is available here.

The last day to request nomination paperwork from the Clerk’s Office is Friday, February 7th at 5:00 PM. If you are interested or have further questions, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at or 978-929-6620.


Voting Locations

The Town of Acton is separated into six (6) precincts:

Precinct 1, 2 & 6 - Conant School, 80 Taylor Rd
Precinct 3, 4 & 5 - Blanchard Auditorium, Junior High School, 16 Charter Rd

If you are unsure of where you vote you may use the State's Where Do I Vote? look up tool to find your precinct, or contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 978-929-6620.

Registering to Vote
You must be registered 20 days prior to an election in order to vote in that election. Example: in order to vote in the Special State Election in June for vacancy caused by the resignation of John F. Kerry, you MUST be registered to vote by Wednesday, June 5th, 2013.

Qualifications
You must be:
  1. A Citizen of the United States;
  2. A legal resident of Acton, and;
  3. 18 years old on or before election day.

You may download the national registration form from the Elections Assistance Commission or you may register to vote in person or via forms available at the Town Clerk's office. You may also call the Clerk's office at 978-929-6620 and ask that an application form be sent to you in the mail.

*When registering by mail, voter registration form must be postmarked by the deadline in order to be eligible.
The Town Clerk’s Office will be open on the Wednesday dates above (20 days before every election) from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM in order to facilitate voter registration. See the voter registration page for more details.
