The Town of Acton holds a Hazardous Waste Day twice a year and offers Acton residents a way to dispose of hazardous materials properly. For more information on hazardous waste disposal or Hazardous Waste Day, please contact the Health Department at (978) 264-9634.

Fluorescent light bulbs are now accepted free of charge at Acton Ace Hardware, 210 Main Street, during regular business hours.

The 2010 Spring Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day and the First Unwanted Medication & Sharps Collection will be on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the DPW Garage located at 14 Forest Road from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.  This collection service is for Acton Residents only.

For residents who wish to dispose of televisions and CRT's (old style computer monitors), there is a charge of $25 per unit (pay by cash or check payable to the Town of Acton).  This fee will help cover the cost of properly disposing of these items.
