Overview
The mission of the Council on Aging Board is to serve as an advocate for seniors, aiding them to maximize their independence and quality-of-life, and support programs and services to meet senior citizens health, economic, social, and cultural needs.

Functions of the Board include:
  • Sharing skills with the Senior Center staff and participants
  • Identifying the needs of Acton senior citizens, particularly those that are vulnerable
  • Advocating on behalf of seniors on the state and local level
  • Supporting the Senior Center budget
  • Serving as in an advisory capacity to the COA Director and Board of Selectmen
  • Guiding policy changes in conjunction with the Director and Board of Selectmen
