Residents are welcome to use the Transfer Station & Recycling Center for normal household trash & recycling generated by everyday usage. In order to access the Transfer Station patrons must purchase a sticker or pay an individual trip fee.
Please note that all other items outside of normal household trash & recycling require an additional disposal fee. The Transfer Station does not accept construction debris.
The Town of Acton adopted a SMART (Save Money and Reduce Trash) pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) program in 2015. Please see the links on the left side of this page for the new Fee Schedule, Trash Collection Rules and Guidelines, as well as a list of SMART PAYT trash bag retailers.
