The Select Board is seeking Acton residents to serve on the Public Works Facility Building Committee.
This new committee will work with Town staff and the Town Manager to recommend the expenditure of the $1,225,000 approved in Article 6A of the 2023 Annual Town meeting, along other funds, to evaluate the scope, design, service levels, and financial estimates for the design and construction of a new DPW building, fuel depot, and site.

Ideal candidates will have experience in construction, energy-efficiency design, engineering, architecture, finance, legal, real estate development, public works operations or other complementary skills.

In 2022, a DPW Facility Study Committee completed its work which included a review of the 2021 feasibility study and made recommendations which were adopted by the Select Board and approved at the 2023 Town Meeting.
