ADVERTISEMENT - NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Town of Acton, Massachusetts, will receive sealed bids for:                                       

 PAVEMENT MARKINGS/REFLECTIVE LINE PAINTING

              at the Acton Department of Public Works, 14 Forest Rd., Acton, Massachusetts, 01720, until 10:30 A.M. Local Time on February 15, 2023 and at that time bids will be publicly open and read.

              Specifications and bidding forms may be obtained from the Acton Highway Division () during normal working hours from January 30, 2023 until the expiration of the time for the filing of bids.

              Bidding procedures are governed by Massachusetts General Laws (G. L.) Chapter (c.) 149, §44A, and G. L. c. 30, §39M, as applicable and referenced in G. L. 149. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as Pavement Markings for the project with an estimated value of $150,710.00 will be required. The Contract will take effect on March 5, 2023 and expire on March 4, 2024. The Contract may be extended for two (2) additional 12-month options, at the discretion of both parties, in strict accordance with M.G.L. pertaining to Chapter 30B. Valuation for purposes of MassDOT Prequalification is based on first year times three (3) to arrive at an estimated total prequal contract value.

              No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the date designated above for the opening of bids.  The Contractor must comply with the all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

              The Town of Acton reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities, as deemed in the Town’s best interest.
