The West Acton Historic Village is one of Acton’s five village centers which grew up around a civic and commercial area along Massachusetts Avenue (Route 111). The West Acton village contains a walkable mixture of homes, shops, schools, churches, a post office, and a library. West Acton Village is approximately one mile west of the Kelley’s Corner commercial center and is a designated historic district. The town wishes to:

• Improve pedestrian connectivity and safety in the West Acton Village;
• Improve economic vitality of the commercial district through improved streetscapes;
• Identify a multi-modal connection between West Acton Village and Kelley’s Corner along Massachusetts Avenue;
• Provide gateway enhancements to West Acton Village; and
• Provide active transportation connections to Boardwalk Campus School.
