With a Northeast heat wave expected over the next few days it's crucial to beat the heat safely. Cooling centers are open across Acton to help you stay comfortable and will be available at the Acton Memorial Library (486 Main Street), Human Services and Senior Center (30 Sudbury Road), and the Public Safety Facility (371 Main Street). The schedule for each day is:
Tuesday, June 18th
Acton Memorial Library - 486 Main Street, 9am - 8pm
Human Services and Senior Center - 30 Sudbury Road, 8am - 7:30pm
Public Safety Facility - 371 Main Street, 24-hour availability
Wednesday, June 19th
Public Safety Facility, 24-hour availability
Thursday, June 20th
Acton Memorial Library, 9am - 8pm
Human Services and Senior Center, 8am - 5pm
Public Safety Facility, 24-hour availability
Please note, non-emergency Town offices and buildings are closed Wednesday in observance of Juneteenth. The Acton Hotline will be available Tuesday and Thursday to answer any questions you might have (978-929-6600). For any heat and/or health emergencies, please dial 911 for help.
