To help with this process, the town has hired Vision Government Solutions. They are a well-established property valuation consultation service with an long-standing relationship with the town. You are not required to grant access to your property. However, please keep in mind that refusing access may waive your right to a valuation appeal.
Data collection is crucial in confirming the accuracy of assessments across town, and helps to ensure all assessments are no more and no less than fair market value. This process does NOT impact total taxes levied by the town. It verifies that each property is valued accurately – and that property owners are therefore paying only their fair share in real estate taxes.
